An exploration of Parksville, Qualicum and Cathedral Grove's must see natural history
Vancouver Island is famous for its ocean and forest. And, with one of the world's most diverse ecosystems which has created habitats for a multitude of wildlife and plant species.
Little Qualicum Falls is a must stop for spectacular photos, and meandering trails through the forest which provide awesome views of the many waterfalls, pools and cliffs.
Near the end of our journey, we will visit the Old Country Market in Coombs, famous for its 'trip' of goats on its sod roof, and a great place to shop and dine.
We'll start by departing from Nanaimo, which is about an hour's drive to Cathedral Grove.
- Cathedral Grove
- Little Qualicum Falls
- Old Country Market
- Rathtrevor Beach
- Wildlife Recovery Centre - view black bears, eagles, and other wildlife.
The return trip to Nanaimo will take approximately 45 minutes.
