My name is Gabrielle and I would be delighted to show you amazing beauty of Dordogne Area of France and share with you the incredibly rich history and guide you off the beaten paths in medieval villages, Sarlat, Domme La Rocque Gageac, hilltop castles, and pre historic caves of the region.
I was born in Germany and grew up in Australia but was always greatly influenced by my European roots. I studied Linguistics and European Art and History. Afterwards I returned to Switzerland to completed a degree in Business Hotel Restaurant Management and studied to be a Cordon Bleu Chef. My career took me all over the world. I decided to return to France where I had studied and worked and now I am a resident here choosing to live in the beautiful Valley of the Dordogne River.
I have always been passionate about travelling myself and often as a tourist love to discover new places and cultures, find some cute, charming, hidden spots only known to the locals . With this in mind I try to make my tours a combination of the history of main sightseeing with stories and legends of people living in these places, local gastronomy and wines, food, flower or antique markets, famous restaurants and bars, local artisans shops as well as the small farms where they produce delicious local produce.
My aim is that in the end of our tour you feel that you have for a short time been immersed into the life of the locals its beauty history and stories and leave with wonderful memories. …. I hope to see you very soon .
