My name is Pascal and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance ! I have been a resident of this fascinating city for the past 12 years and I have come to know it well. A question I have been asked often is "what brought you here, quite far away from France ?" well, many things in fact but, just to name a few, I would say my lovely wife, a long-held passion for Japan's history and culture, a deep desire to study traditional Japanese martial arts and, last but not least, a high regard for local food ! On all these topics, living in Tokyo never came short of my expectations and it is my sincere hope that your stay here will meet yours too !
Due to its fascinating culture and history, a trip to Tokyo can be a fantastic experience but it can also be quite overwhelming for foreign visitors: different language/culture, an arcane public transportation network, streets without names, the daunting crowds. . . . Well, not to worry at all as I am here to help out!
As a private guide for almost 2 years now and a fluent speaker in Japanese, It will be my sincere pleasure to guide you around the city, help you discover it and experience first-hand Japanese history and culture, all without any undue stress or worries!
Sightseeing wise, I offer customized tours of Tokyo/other cities in Japan based on your personal preferences and/or thematic tours based on unique cultural and historical sites located within central Tokyo. Being a Japanese history and culture buff, I am highly qualified to offer you a unique tour with anecdotes not found in guide books, places off the beaten track and, depending on season/availability, typical experiences (such as viewing cherry blossoms/autumn leaves or attending local festivals) known only to Tokyo residents !
From a corporate perspective, having worked in relation with Japanese companies for over 16 years, I am also highly knowledgeable of Japanese business etiquette and manners, allowing me to accompany business travelers to functions and perform attendance/translation services if required in advance. Airport pick ups and accompaniments to hotels can also be part of my services.
I look forward to hearing from you, planning your tour and us enjoying Tokyo together !

A Recent Review of this guide
Wow! This is not my first time visiting Tokyo, but going on a day tour with Pascal was something brand new. The secret Japanese gardens that he took me too was definitely worth it. It should be in everybody's list. Also the Edo-Fukagawa Museum was was worth a visit, I didn't even know it existed. Also ask him for a recommendation for a good place to eat VERY GOOD Japanese ramen. Since you will be walking alot have him suggest a good place for a great coffee and snack stop at a Japanese local cafe.
