Popes power traces in and out the Vatican

Today the Vatican is the Official State held by the Pope. But just before the union of Italy the Pope was the king of Rome, and the fingerprint of his power was everywhere. Let's have a walk and see how the Popes changed the city, monuments and architecture towards their major symbol: St. Peter and the Vatican.

We will start in Campo dei Fiori and along the "personal pope' highway" called via Giulia we will reach St. Peter's square.
