This Roman Villa was excavated quite recently, this is why it is better preserved than any other place in Pompeii.
It was most probably inhabitated byu Poppaea Sabina Minore, who married the Emperor Nero.
Here we are going to be able to imagine how good life was for rich people back then. We will start with an over view from above. Then we take a closer look at the volcanic debris that buried tha bay of Naples on the 79 a. D.
We will enter the main atrium of the villa from the area of the rear garden. You will notice how all the decorations and architectures were meant to give an illusion of space and depth. It had all been studied on behalf od the position of the ocean and of the rear garden.
We will see their kitchen and bath house (one for the family and one for the slaves), we will see the nicely decorated bedrooms with sea view, the area where slaves slept, worked and praied.
At last we will visit the spectacular pool and the dining rooms that faced it.
