The funny thing is that I got into speaking in front of large groups out of a fear of public speaking. Yes, you heard right. When I was in law school I tried to avoid speaking in front of the class at whatever cost. Finally, it caught up with me and I had to tackle this fear. My way was through Toastmasters International, which completely turned my life around and made me realize, that what I was afraid of, I actually really liked doing.
Originally from Israel, I visited New Orleans for the first time in 2013 and fell in love with this fascinating city. I have been a student of the Big Easy ever since, and finally made the plunge and moved here permanently a couple of years ago. As an Israeli, I am drawn to the Jewish history of New Orleans and to bicycles. I give Jewish history tours and city tours of the New Orleans in both English and in Hebrew, by foot, by bike, in a car or by public transportation.
I have a love for language and as a former corporate lawyer, have the knack for noticing those quirky little expressions that you see and hear every day, particularly in New Orleans.
I served in the Israeli military as an army medic in a unit very similar to the one depicted on the show M. A. S. H.
I am happy to meet you and to tailor a tour that will meet your personal interests.
Welcome to New Orleans!

A Recent Review of this guide
With Roni, we had an exemplary tour. He told us many interesting things about the cemetery, local houses, and quick/easy history about the Garden District. He is an excellent tour guide for anyone looking to learn or have a good time.
