I am local in Lviv since 2003 when I came to Lviv like student. From that time I am falling in love with Lviv everyday. I like mountains, football and, of course, talking about Lviv :). I have family (wife and two children). We like traveling all around the world. We already saw many countries in Europe and Israel, Turkey.
I am certified practicing guide and teacher. I am PhD in geography science and work in Ivan Franko National University of Lviv at the tourism department also. I have some time for social work and volunteering in Lviv city council as a member public council of tourism department. I wrote many scientific papers and few books in geography and history. So I have knowledge about the city from both sides - practical and theoretical. I like my city and want to share this with you. Why you must come to Lviv? Because in Lviv was invented gas lamp. My city one of the first city with electric tram in Eastern Europe. Lviv is the city with chocolate manufactures and coffee mine, yes, we have coffee mine like coal mine in Germany or China. We have one of the biggest and oldest cemetery-museum in Europe, also very old brewery "Lvivske 1715", fantastic opera and ballet theatre, high city tower, ruins of old castle from XIII century. We have very long pharmacy and medicine history. There is even museum of history of medicine of Galicia. We have great heritage from Austrian empire time of XIX century. Many famous Ukrainians, Jews, Armenians and Poles were born here and created world history. Lviv is the city of students - 25 universities and institutes. Lviv is in UNESCO heritage list. Oh, I forgot about our cuisine! We have great and delicious food! Several hundred restaurants and cafes, bars and pubs, grill and chocolate cafe etc. Also, you must taste our local beer and liquors, gorilka and wine. Lviv is true gastronomic haven on the Earth!
Every year, Lviv is included in the ratings of the best city for a weekend in Europe. We have new airport, railway station and roads. Lviv is open for world, Lviv is open for you! Welcome in UNESCO list city and see you soon!

Not only does Mykhailo knows his beer, he's also very knowledgeable about the brewery history of Lviv! He took me around old establishments, mixing up with new and upcoming places, had beer tasting in all the places we visited and they were all delicious!
