Discover Japanese Aesthetics
In this tour we visit Japanese Garden; Koishikawa Korakuen created in 1629. The garden consists of 4 different areas. They represent the river, mountain, countryside, the ocean. You will enjoy beautiful different scenery as you walk around the central pond. The garden has been designated as the Special Place of Scenic Beauty and Special Historic Site of the country by the Cultural Asset.
After that, we visit the Tea house/room. You experience Japanese culture and philosophy through a tea ceremony.
Tea master prepares tea by highly stylized manner called 'Temae'. You have Japanese sweet and tea in a very settled atmosphere and learn the spirit of Japanese culture influenced by Zen philosophy. Viewing a tea house and tea utensils is one of the enjoyment as well.
Since I have been learning Tea Ceremony about 7 years I'm pleased to tell you the history of 'Chado' (the way of tea) and its aesthetics.
This is 3 hours tour.
