I am a guide and at the same time a traveler. love traveling and so far I have traveled 36 countries (I have live in Belgium and Singapore for 2 years, too) and 36 prefectures within Japan. It is the era that people can go anywhere with smart phones without big issues. (Tokyo might be tricky in terms of convenient but very complicated public transportation) But my best memories from those trips are always related to the interactive communication with local people. I can always learn the area or the country much further when I have local guides or friends during the trip. I promise I will do my best from your trip preparation, the tour and questions you come across even after the trip, because I know how important a trip is as a traveler, myself.
I was born and grow up in Kamakura, the old capital in 12th century, 1 hour from Tokyo and until I graduated my university in Tokyo. So I grew up surrounded by old temples like big Buddha statue and shrines, meaning old history and culture. Now I live in the center of Tokyo, Roppongi. So I can give more local explanation about cities and I am flexible in time because major hotels and sightseeing spots are close to my place.
By the way I am a mother of a two year old daughter, kids friendly, too.

Asami was an awesome tour guide. She took two of us on a food journey through Tokyo. She showed us how to navigate the public transportation system. We went to three distinct neighborhoods and tried a ton of different foods - many of which I am not sure I would have felt comfortable ordering without her. I cannot recommend Asami enough. If you book with her you will have an awesome time! 100% recommend.
