Discover Malaga through its food culture with a Private Guide
The tour is ideal for cruise ship passengers spending the day in town and makes a perfect shore excursion when in Malaga. Eat like the locals do, starting with the famous churros and chocolate, explore the market and then discover the delights of traditional tapas.
The Tour is equally as ideal for anyone passing through Malaga on a day trip or for those staying in Malaga for a few nights. If you are staying for a longer period in the city I would recommend taking a tour on your first day, helping to plan your days ahead.
We start the tour with the traditional Churros and Chocolate ( a must have for everyone with a sweet tooth!).
Then it is on to the fascinating and vibrant Food Market where you will be able to sample some of the locally grown products.
No visit to Málaga would be complete without a tasting of the famous Spanish Ham and at this bar I will also introduce you to some different Spanish Cheeses accompanied by a good wine of course.
Our last stop will be a traditional Tapas bar where we will sample a range of tapas accompanied by yet more wine.
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: I am happy to meet you at your hotel or apartment reception, or if arriving by cruise ship, I will send details of the central meeting point near the port entrance.
End location: I will return you to your hotel or apartment or to the port entrance if on a cruise ship.
Duration: 3 hours 30 min.
This is a walking tour around the pedetrianised and very flat centre of Malaga
All food and a drink whenever we are in a bar plus the services of your food guide.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
30 Euro - There are no "extra" costs on the tour, but many guests are tempted to buy thinks like saffron in the food market (as it is so cheap in Spain) so always useful to have a bit of local currency on you.
If anyone would like a second drink in a bar then this would be at your cost. The first drink in each bar is included in the tour cost.

Was with my wife & her 85 year old mother/father. This walking tour was ABSOULTELY FANTASTIC! Malaga is a wonderful city & Michael was just a fabulous guide. He showed us many unique things and had many interesting/unusual stories to go with the walking tour of Malaga (he has lived there 29+ yrs). We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour for all (young/old) as Michael has a great style/way with everyone (everyone in the city seemed to know him), the city was easy to navigate, and the food/wine was divine.
