I'm also a mother of two (that i'm totally sure of), and I come West Belfast, N. Ireland. I love local history and politics and can tell a great story which combines the two. Discover how Belfast was founded and how it grew into the city it is today. Hear the stories of the people who built this city, from the women who slaved in the mills to the men who built titanic.
I have lived in Madrid, Spain for several years and have also travelled to many destinations worldwide so I know what people like to do and see when they are visiting other cultures. Having a guide who is a frequent traveller is the best way to make the most of your time. I know how to present the content of a tour so that its not too much detail but just enough to interest you and give you an insight into the many different layers of my culture (it has many layers). I am very enthusiastic and love meeting new people.
I started giving tours of Belfast and the Giant's Causeway by accident. When my friends and their families came to visit I took great pride in showing them the rich heritage and living history that Ireland has to offer. Because I'm a local I can create a tour that will accommodate everyone's interest and needs. Combining political and social history (which is painted on the walls throughout Belfast city) with sightseeing, relaxing in one of our beautiful parks or mountains whilst enjoying the witty humour of the locals in the endless list of pubs, restaurants, shopping arcades etc.
Let me give you an insiders perspective of Belfast and N. Ireland. I will update you on all cultural events and the endless choice of activities available to you. There is a lot to see and do and I have many ideas and suggestions but maybe you have your own ideas and wishes that I can help you realise. This tour is yours, and I'm here to ensure you fully enjoy your stay.

We loved our walk through Belfast with Lorraine. Her enthusiasm and love of the city came through as she showed us the sites, even as she helped explain the most fascinating and disturbing aspect of the city's history - the troubles. There is so much to take in as you discover that history, and the art and politics of the walls. Lorraine helped explain and explore it all with us, both sides. She was lovely to talk to and get to know as we explored her still changing and developing city.
