Full day walking/driving tour of the Golden City and the Jewish Quarter
The Prague City Overview is designed to show you the main sights of the Golden City - the City of a Hundred Spires - including Wenceslas Square, the State Opera House, the National Museum, Prague Castle (including St. Vitus Cathedral), Pařížská (Paris) Street, Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge and Kampa Island.
The Jewish Quarter Tour is my most popular tour. You'll see 4 well-preserved synagogues, including the oldest anywhere north of the Alps; also a moving tribute to Czechoslovakia's lost Jewish population in the Pinkas Synagogue. We'll also visit the Old Jewish Cemetery, where the graves lie up to twelve layers deep and where you'll find the resting place of Rabbi Loew, renowned as the creator of the Golem. Prague is home to the largest collection of Judaica in the world and there is no other country that has so many historical Jewish artefacts all in one place. This neighbourhood that largely resembled an open-air Jewish heritage musuem, almost frozen in time.
I recommend starting as early as possible - at 8 a. m. Please wear comfortable walking shoes!
I will pick you up at your hotel and we will do a combination of driving and walking to get a general overview of the city covering all main highlights listed above and more! The Prague Overview part of the tour lasts about three hours. Then we will stop for lunch at a traditional Czech restaurant, or I can just give you some free time at the main square, where there are many shops and restaurants. After lunch, we continue on foot to see the Jewish Quarter.
What we'll see: Wenceslas Square, the State Opera House, the National Museum and the statue of St Wenceslas, Prague Castle (including St. Vitus Cathedral), Pařížská (Paris) Street, Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge, Kampa Island, the Old Jewish cemetery including Rabbi Loew's grave, the Pinkas Synagogue, the Spanish Synagogue, the Old-New Synagogue, the High Synagogue, and much more.
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Cruise Ship Port, Airport, Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building
Duration: 7 hours
Based on my experience I would honestly suggest we meet and begin this tour at 8:30 a.m.
The first part of the tour is a mixture of walking and transport by small van with a driver to maximize the sites you will see in the most efficient way possible- without stressing the body too much. (Mine, not yours. :) ) When we break for lunch, we will then continue on foot throughout the Jewish Quarter.

In early September, 2019, my wife and I did a Prague full day city tour with Ljuba. She communicates well and is quite knowledgeable. We were able to see a lot of highlights in a short time scale. 2 days later we did the full day tour of Cesky Krumlov. We stopped at the medieval town of Pisek halfway which was delightful. Both days she picked us up at the hotel and dropped us off at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Ljuba as a private tour guide in the Czech Republic. Don & Jane Rediker
