Learn about the Jewish history in Prague and visit Jewish Museum during this private tour.
First of all, in the beginning of this tour, I explain the concise history of the Jewish town of Prague and of its population throughout the centuries; then we visit several facilities that are part of the Jewish Museum, the old Jewish cemetery (see picture), and we will walk through the major part of the Jewish area called "Josefov". Jewish Museum of Prague, consits of several expositions such as:
Spanish Synagogue, Old-New Synagogue, Old Jewish Cemetery, Meisel Synagogue, Klausen Syngogue, Chevra Kadisha (Jewish burial society) and Pinkas Synagogue (Holocaust memorial site).
The Jewish history in Prague goes all the way back to 10th century!
You will be picked up either at your hotel or any other meeting point in Prague and then we will walk to the Jewish quarter (Josefov) which is centrally located within the historical city center. We'll walk through the entire Jewish section and will visit the Jewish Museum of Prague. All of its facilities are located within this, relatively small and compact, area.
