Meet the breathtaking Blue Coast, Moscatel wine cellar, sheep cheese, Palmela castle, 2 bridges
Let's depart from your hotel and head to April 25th bridge. This is a great chance to see the Portuguese "Golden Gate" brigde and the mouth of Tagus River.
We can go straight to Setúbal and visit their great food market (every morning, except Mondays).
It is time to go through Arrábida hill, enjoying its blue coast and green landscapes.
In Azeitão, I must take you to my favourite restaurant. You'll be the only tourists, believe me! We must try the local sheep cheese sooner or later.
After lunch the prestigiuos José Maria Fonseca wine cellars will deserve a visit and a wine tasting - it's where the local liquor wine and the first Portuguese red wine will be introduced to us.

-Azeitão secrets restaurant
-Azeitão José Maria Fonseca wine cellars

I'd read a lot about Setubal and enjoyed exploring it with Gloria who lives nearby. She tailored it to our interests with e-mails prior to arriving in Portugal and later during the tour itself. We especially enjoyed the fish/fruit and vegetable market and the handmade tile "factory." Most of all, we enjoyed talking with Gloria, including at lunch at a special restaurant of hers. Don't pass on the chance to see an area off the usual tourist path with as charming and informative guide as Gloria.
