Turris Libyssonis the only Roman colony in Sardinia
During this tour we will go back to the past of the Island of Sardinia. . . exactly when it was conquered by the Romans who founded only one colony here : Turris Lybissonis, the present-day Porto Torres. It was allegedly founded by Cesar!! We will visit the ruins of Turris in the Arcaelogical Park of Porto Torres.
We will visit as well another gem of the island: the medieval Basilica of San Gavino, the biggest in Sardinia! We will see its peculiarities that make this Church a really must see!
We wiil spend some time sightseeing along the amazing seafront of the town and discovering two small white churches on top of the rock. We will take some great pics and we will go to the town centre for the free time.
The whole tour will take place in the town of Porto Torres
