A day trip from Rome to the biggest archeological site in the world
THIS TOUR CAN BE CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR NEEDS AND REQUESTS.
When Vesuvius erupted on 24 August AD 79, it buried under the ashes the two flourishing Roman towns of Pompei and Herculaneum, as well as the wealthy villages of Oplontis and Stabiae.
We will go back in time, imagining that the Sun path marked the daily activities of the inhabitants in ancient Pompeii.
The shops opened at down and the Forum got filled with merchants and sellers. People went to the Baths, also opened to slaves and went to numerous pubs to get a warm meal or a game of dice.
The amphitheater represented the main attraction in town. They also have brothels, with frescos on the walls still visible nowadays.
This ancient site in southern Italy dramatically captures a Roman town in the shadow of a volcano, exactly as it was 2000 years ago. The archeological site is a vast 150 acres - figure out where to start and what to see on a private Pompeii tour with a knowledgeable guide.
