New Wilmington and Volant
An Amish community of approximately 1, 500 people is located about one hour north of Pittsburgh in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, the third largest Old Order Amish sect in the United States. The villages of New Wilmington and Volant offer quaint specialty shops, a grist mill and Amish made quilts, furniture and accessories. The back country roads provide a scenic backdrop to the homes, farms and schoolhouses of the Amish people. NOT AVAILABLE ON SUNDAYS (businesses and attractions are closed due to religious observations).
I will pick you up at your designated location in the Pittsburgh Metro area and drive you about an hour north of Pittsburgh to the Amish country of Western Pennsylvania. We'll stop in the quaint villages of New Wilmington and Volant and see the Amish community. I will then drive you back to your designated location in the Pittsburgh Metro area.
