The Royal Palace of Florence surrounded by the Boboli's Garden
A huge palace located on the "Oltrarno" - the other side of the Arno's river - is the symbol of the wealthy of the Medici family. Cosimo I de' Medici bought the Palace that the family Pitti, a century before, built by following the Renaissance architecture's lines, probably designed by Filippo Brunelleschi. He transformed the original small palace into a royal residence and, after 2 centuries of works and changes of the manor, today we can admire the restyled painting collections in the Grand Duke apartments called "Quadreria". Especially known as the largest Raphael and Titian collection. Anyway, hundreds major works are waiting for you, realized by Rubens, Van Eyck, Andrea del Sarto, Rosso Fiorentino, Artemisia Gentileschi and many many others.

As my wife described well, a tour with Patrizia is like a great wine. It has layers and layers of surprise and fun, leaving you with a desire for more and mote. She does not only guide you; she adds the history behind the history, the art behind the art, her knowledge is amazing and she shares it with the fun and gusto only a lover of art can do. Grazzi mille, signora!!!
