Fascinating walking tour, including legends & anecdots
If you are visiting Pisa for the first time, this is the perfect tour for you! We will explore the so called 'Square of Miracles', where the most famous Leaning Tower stands out!
I will guide you around the beautiful buildings which emerge as 'miracles' from the green meadow and create an architectural whole characterized by a really surprising stylistic accordance, to the point of having been compared by Le Corbusier to the acropolis of Athens (Voyage d'Orient, 1911).
Itinerary
After a brief introduction we will start a delightful walk around:
-The Duomo, a triumph of the Pisan Romanesque style and with exceptional islamic details
-the Baptistery enobled by Nicola Pisano's pulpit and with fabulous acoustics inside;
-the Camposanto (Graveyard), with beautiful Roman sarcophagi and XIV-XVI century frescos
- the most famous Bell Tower, which has been leaning since XII century
I would be happy to extend the visit to 3 hour so we could visit the Duomo, the Baptistery (we would attend to an echo demonstration) and Camposanto which was very popular between XIV and XVIII century because of a 'holy soil' the locals took from Jerusalem.
You just have to pay the extra cost of 5, 00 euros (for only the Baptistery)-7, 00 (Baptistery+Camposanto) and my guiding service - please feel free to send me a message for details!

A Recent Review of this tour
Read More Reviews For This TourMartina met us at our hotel on the first morning of our stay in Pisa. We walked to the Tower & Duomo and she gave us a great introduction to the site and obviously is very knowledgeable. We had time at the end for a walk into Pisa, where Martina showed us the highlights and also provided some restaurant recommendations on a map. Martina is a lovely lady and this was a great way for us to find out about Pisa so that we could make the most of the rest of our stay.
