Was Picasso a Genius or a Monster? Lets explore the topics and follow his footsteps to find out

More than 16, 000 works documented, 8 wives, the most famous artist ever. . . And it started here- Picasso's story with Barcelona is a love one: Here he was raised up as an artist, here he decided to become one; here he donated his personal collection, here he had his first museum in 1963. . .

Pablo felt oppressed by his father, an artist and professor, when the family moved to Barcelona in 1895. My in-depth, 3-hour, Barcelona Picasso Tour focuses on those formative years of Picasso's life. We will visit the Picasso Museum and other sites related to his time in the city, his first inspirations and the influence of the bohemian circles in Barcelona at the time: the places that hosted his firts exhibits, the café where he met the bohemian of the time, where he lived, where he studied. . .

For that sharp 13 year old boy who came from the deep-oldfashioned-traditional Spain, modern BCN represented an open window to a sophisticated world, a balcony to lean towards modern trends: the future.

Itinerary

- The 4 Cats Café
- Picasso's mural in front of The Cathedral, roman walls, episcopal palace. . .
- Sala Parés in Petrixol Street, the place of his first solo exhibition
- Santa Maria del Pi, his inpiration
- Plaça Reial, his first studio
- La Llotja, his art school
- His first pension and his first flat, La Ribera
- Carrer Montcada: the 5 palaces that make up the Museu Picasso
