6 Hours Private Tour from Halifax

A trip to Nova Scotia is not complete without a tour to Peggy's Cove. We take the scenic way via the picturesque village of Hubbards and numerous stopping/photo opportunities along the shores of St Margaret's Bay. We stop at Queensland Beach where you can dip your toes in the water or stroll along the golden sand. Our tour takes us to the pretty little Hackets Cove where we sometimes see fishermen mending nets or repairing Lobster Traps. We often stop at Indian Harbor then on to our next stop the famous lighthouse of Peggy's Cove. We walk out to the lighthouse, the view of the Atlantic Ocean is incredible, it is here that we explain the name and some of the history "ON THE ROCKS". You can walk through the cove if you want to, there are numerous photo opportunities and a couple of gift stores, and a refreshment store with coffee or ice-cream. We then proceed back to our START TOWN of Halifax, OR, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay via a different route, at this point we can see some of what our start town has to offer.

We have a short highway drive of 30 min to Hubbards where we stop, on to Queensland Beach for a stroll, then follow the very scenic drive along the shores of St Margarets Bay to Hackets Cove, Indian Harbor, we can stop at the Swiss Air memorial of flight 111 Sept 1998, then the famous Lighthouse of Peggys Cove. We walk to the lighthouse, where we explain the name of Peggys Cove "on the rocks" where the view is outstanding, like the lighthouse "Outstanding" on its own, on the granite glacier formed rocks smoothed by years of waves from the Atlantic Ocean splashing over them. Then back to Halifax, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg or Chester following a different route, if it is Halifax we will go past two of the universities and some of the larger homes, sometimes some of the Titanic history or the Halifax explosion, there are choices and options for you to choose or for us to discuss.
