With this tour you'll see, taste and smell the beauty of Parma! The walking tour starts from the baroque Teatro Farnese (mondays closed, sundays short opening), to follow we'll see the the Cathedral and the Baptistery, two magnificent buildings. At the end we'll walk through the lanes of the centre to discover the charm of a non touristy place, to see (and maybe to try) some delicious pastry and to smell the ancient scent of the Violetta, the perfume of our beloved Duchess Maria Luigia.
During the tour you'll also admire the beautiful façade of the Opera House, the exterior of the Steccata Church and the relaxing Garibaldi Square, with the cafès, the shops and the restaurants. If you want to try our most typical food products the tour can end at a local trattoria or a deli, where you can taste the most famous cured meats and cheeses from our region as the Parmigiano Reggiano and the Prosciutto di Parma.

Giulia was extremely well informed on Parma, the tour focused very much on 'Art' - maybe a little more than we expected....Giulia pointed out many things we would have missed. Unfortunately we did a late afternoon tour which meant some things were closed. In hindsight a morning tour may have been better. Giulia is a lovely, very pleasant lady - gave us suggestions on where to eat. We can recommend Giulia
