Experience Montmartre atmosphere and travel back to the end of 19th century...

Montmartre was the first artistic center in Paris on the margins of the 19th century academic painting movement. Apart from its lovely village aspect, everywhere in Montmartre you can find testimonies of many painters who contributed to open the gate to modern art as Renoir, Van Gogh, Picasso, Derain.

Montmartre offers an unique atmosphere, still today full of French flair and clichés, especially around its main square, la Place du Tertre, surrounded by portraitists and arts galleries and ideal for a coffee break or an aperitif in order to enjoy even more its atmosphere (if wished).

We will start of course with the visit of the 2nd most visited monument in Paris, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart but also with the visit of the oldest church in Paris- Saint-Jean-de-Montmartre, introducing Montmartre history. We will continue to Montmartre main square (Place du Tertre), afterwards we will reach Montmartre vineyards, discovering at the same time the nearby historical places and squares as Montmartre Museum, La Maison Rose, Le Lapin Agile (famous historical cabaret still open today) until the well known Moulin de la Galette and Bateau-Lavoir, the birthplace of the cubist movement introduced by Picasso. We will end the tour at Abesses metro station.
