I lived here until I was 18, when I left to do my undergraduate and Masters studies in Campinas-SP. After my studies I went backpacking for a year before I found a new home in Sumatra-Indonesia, where I lived for over 5 years working as a guide for surf travelers looking for the famous perfect indonesian waves.
During my childhood I got the opportunity to live in many places in Paraty, some of which are of big interest to travelers coming to Paraty today: Ponta Negra, Praia do Sono, Trindade, Penha, among others. I also got to be in touch with the ocean a lot, which ended up driving me to a life onboard many years later. I ended up getting to know the region very well, I'm not a foreigner guiding you through Paraty, I grew up on the most remote corners of this place.
Having travelled and seen a fair bit of South America and Southeast Asia I am able to connect with most travelers through traveling experiences lived together. I am always interested to know what is the perception other people have of my hometown, always getting new points of view of a world I thought I already explored all the angles.
After my experience in Indonesia I decided to come back to my hometown and apply some of the knowledge I learned there, plus the languages I learned traveling, into guiding boat tours in my hometown. I am here to take you to days that no other experience -especially the overcrowded schooners or the pre-packaged tour agency itineraries- would ever take you.
The insights, the history and the most recent changes, plus stories into the locals and how the city came up to be what it is, that's what I can offer you, plus a ride on a safe and fast speedboat, where you will not wait longer then 30 minutes to get almost anywhere you want in the boat. This way you can enjoy your tour better by getting to see more places and know more about our beautiful bay and it's peculiarities.
Please don't forget that I can shape any of the tours listed to your requirements and that I am here to make your day in our bay one that you will never forget!
Please get in touch if you have any special requests.

What a Fantastic way to spend a day in Paraty!!! Davi & Fabiano take us out on a speedboat away from the city, visiting 4 very-secluded beach coves, plus 2 deep snorkeling spots with lots of cool fish! The highlight was taking the speedboat several kilometers up the unique/beautiful 'fjord', then docking at a great restaurant right on the fjord. Wow, I can still taste the great fish lunch (and cocktails!).
I have the Assistant Deck Seaman course by the brazilian Navy and I have worked for nearly four years in Indonesia guiding boat tours in western Sumatra.
I also have a driver license for cars and motorbike, plus a master skipper license for driving boats along the coastline of brazil and other countries.
