2 days - 1 night
Imagine spending 2 days and 1 night in one of the nicest and most charming towns in Brazil. Paraty is an old colonial town founded by portuguese explorers in the 16th century and used as main port for gold exportation in the 18th century.
The old houses became hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops, in a very colourful style. The town is located at one of the most beautiful bays in Brazil, surrounded by many green islands and nice beaches, good for snorkeling and for a boat ride.
We will drive 4 hours from Sao Paulo to Paraty, crossing the "Serra do Mar" Rainforest State Park and the preserved beaches, waterfalls and wonderfull landscapes of Ubatuba. Then we can visit one of the oldest Cachaça factory (Brazilian sugar-cane Rum) and taste a bit of the best quality brazilian spirit. We'll arrive at Paraty at the end of the afternoon, make hotel check-in and enjoy the colourful Paraty's night life for dinner.
The next day at Paraty, we'll take a small or big wooden boat(depends on availability) to have a beutifull ride at Paraty Bay, swimming at some of the most beautiful beaches and islands of Brazil. Snorkeling equipment and lunch is available on board.
At the end of the day we will drive back to Sao Paulo.

Denis is very knowledgeable about the history of sao paulo as a state and the way of life in the country side - paraty & ubatuba. From the airport it was a long drive to paraty but he made it very interesting and exciting for me after knowing my fondness for history & nature. I like the spontaneity he has for my tour. He showed me a different side of sao paulo apart from the city itself.
