My job consisted of taking them around to the local officials to do their paper work in order to transit the Panama Canal. I also helped them find parts and supplies, linehandling these boats true the Canal.
Years later, I stepped into another type of guiding, I started to drive a taxi and I usually offered my services at the local Hotels, taking the customers to places like Portobelo, San Lorenzo, Panama city and other places. I saw the necessity to Learn about these places, so I started buying and studying literature of the most visited sites in Panama, I made excursion almost all around the country. By the year 2000 with the arrival of cruise ships to the port of Colon 2000 and Cristobal, I started to offer my guiding services to the cruise ship passengers.
I combined my passion for touring with my permanent job at the Panama Canal. I born in Panama 43 years ago, I have lived all of my life in this bless country , married. I have six (6) kids (yes six!!!)four boys, two girls, five of them teenagers (yeap. . . teenagers!!!) and I love them all. I live in the country in a small town between Panama city and Colon.
A Recent Review of this guide
The guide for our one day tour of the Canal and Panama City couldn't have been better! Clemente didn't just show us sights, he made us feel like we had seen and experienced Panama! He began by telling us where we would go and what we would see and then proceeded to take us along on an adventure to discover this country.
