My Name is Jack, and I have lived in this area for more than 10 years. As a professional certified tour guide I will offer you a true experience that you won't soon forget as your own personal Tour Guide/Director here in Palm Springs, Ca. and the Coachella Valley.
I was raised in Southern California, and I have made the desert my home, and truly there is nothing like it, as you will soon find out for yourself when you visit our little paradise.
As a professional Tour Guide for more than 8 years, I have had the opportunity of escorting individuals, and or groups on sightseeing tours by land, air, cruise, and rail. My passion for travel, adventure, and meeting people from all over the world, has helped me broaden my knowledge both domestically, and internationally to ensure that you are treated with the utmost respect that you have been accustomed to in your travel experiences.
While we sometimes prefer to venture out on our own when vacationing, there are times when you should rely on the value of a more experienced, knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. Here are a few reasons you may want to take advantage of this professional service:
When you have very little time-a knowledgeable guide can give customized sightseeing according to your wishes in a timely manner.
When revisiting a place—even if you have visited a place several times; Palm Springs, New York, Paris, London, San Francisco, a talented tour guide can provide local knowledge that you may never see in a travel guide.
When visiting popular locations—a tour guide will know how to keep you from the crowds. A good guide will also know places to avoid, rush hours, shopping areas that offer bargain prices, and direct you from areas under construction or closed roads.
On long stays—if your visit is two weeks or longer, consider hiring a tour guide for the first couple of days to get your bearings or hire a tour guide after you have had time to explore all the attractions and desire a more meaningful/lasting experience.
Visiting historic destinations—an experienced/knowledgeable tour guide can offer in-depth information by sharing stories that a tourist may never see in print.
To hand off the logistics of planning activities/entertainment—while on vacation no one wants to spend time with such mundane tasks as arranging reservations, obtaining tickets, confirming operating hours, figuring out options; a tour guide can eliminate this responsibility.
When you prefer not to drive—if you are uncomfortable navigating in a foreign country and predict that you and a spouse would spend more time arguing about directions, then do yourself a favor and hire a tour guide; it makes the trip so much desirable and memorable.

A Recent Review of this guide
Several friends visiting from New York City and I took Jack's tour of mid-century modern Palm Springs. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Not only is Jack the repository of a wealth of information about the history of PS, but he has unbridled enthusiasm about his hometown, which we really liked. Strongly recommend this tour.
My experience as a tour guide started when I was a Professional Ballroom Dance Teacher in the Pacific Northwest. I was in charge of arranging special activities for our many students. We would go and compete in different dance competitions throughout the Pacific Northwest and arrange Cruise Ship Tours. After that, I went to work for Princess Tours in Alaska, aboard their Rail Division, this is where I truly wanted to be a Professional Tour Guide. After returning to the lower states I enrolled as a student at the International Tour Management Institute in San Francisco, CA. This is an intensive 125-hour course of study in local guiding, receptive and incentive travel, meeting and events planning, domestic and international tour directing including intermodal travel by motorcoach, air cruise ship, and rail. I received my certificate on December 12, 2004, and it has been a blessing ever since.
