When I am guiding, my first aim is to go beyond stereotypes regarding Sicily and try to explain how rich is the Sicilian Culture thanks to the many people that have passed through the centuries and left signs of their own societies. You can find those traces in our monumental heritage but also in our language, in our habits and finally in our cuisine.
I have been working in tourism in Sicily for the last 18 years, as a Tour Escort first, then as an operator and finally as a guide. In the meanwhile, I obtained a degree in Cultural tourism at the University of Palermo, deepening history, art history, archaeology and Sicilian folklore.
I have a deep knowledge of both main and less visited Sicilian sites as well as I am always open to find new hidden gems to propose to my clients. When I am not touring Sicily with travellers, I am doing that with my friends!
Thanks to my fully licensed minivan I can take people everywhere in Sicily, visiting beautiful cities or admiring natural beauties, both for one-day excursions and for multi-day tours.
You just have to decide where to go and relax, I will do the rest!
A Recent Review of this guide
After 7 trips to Italy (including 2 to Sicily), we finally found our ideal Italian guide in Giorgio. Personable, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and friendly (without being obsequious). Excellent English, careful driver, and wonderful recommendations for lunch on both tours. A font of cultural, historical, archeological, and regional knowledge of his home island of Sicily. And, compared to other guides, reasonably priced. Clean and spacious Mercedes minivan. Reliable and prepared for each separate tour.
