4 hours cartour: Learn more about World War II/Operation Market Garden; private cartour (can be custom made for your group)
In this combination tour we will visit Nijmegen and Groesbeek War and/or Arnhem and Airborne Museum Oosterbeek/Liberation Museum Groesbeek/Museum Overloon and/or Common Wealth War cemeteries.
Nijmegen was the first Dutch city to fall into German hands, it was accidentally bombed by American planes and it saw heavy fighting during Operation Market Garden. Arnhem is known for 'a bridge too far'. We can also visit the Airborne Museum Oosterbeek (monumental villa with the world's largest collection of Operation Market Garden memorabilia), Liberation Museum and Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek and/or the War Museum in Overloon.
Use of car for up to 3 people included.

We will see remains of the fights, some memorial monuments and and the famous Waal Bridge. Or, we will see 'a bridge too far' in Arnhem, whatever you prefer. We can also visit the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek, the Liberation Museum in Groesbeek or Museum Overloon. Lots of War monuments and Common Wealth War Cemeteries on the way to show you. Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We'll meet at Nijmegen Station, Arnhem Station, your rivercruise ship in Arnhem or Nijmegen, or any other location in Nijmegen/Arnhem on request. Other pick-up locations are possible, but extra fees may apply.
End location: We'll end the tour at Arnhem Station, or Nijmegen Station, your rivercruise ship or any other location in Nijmegen/Arnhem on request. Other drop-off locations are possible, but extra fees may apply.
Duration: 4 hours
The tour will take four hours or longer on request.
Please note that a car up to 3 passengers only is included in the tourprice. We can use a taxi or public transport, a bigger rental car, minivan or coach and driver, whatever you prefer for your group. There's an extra fee for that. We can also use your (rental) car, minivan or private bus and driver or just do a city walk in Nijmegen, without transportation. You will get a discount on the tourprice. I can prepare an all-inclusive tourprice on request. Please tell me your preferences.
Included are my services as your private tourguide during the tour. Also included are the use of a car for up to three passengers.

12 Euro - Entrance fee Airborne Museum (8,50 euro) and coffee (3 euro), for example.
Please note! It's your tour: YOU decide if and when you need a break. We can buy refreshments on the way, grab a quick snack, have a coffee or lunch break, eat pancakes (the Dutch way), go fine dining in a Michelin star restaurant or have no break at all. Please bring a little amount in cash (euros) for food and drinks or personal expenses, according to your preferences. Most shops and restaurants accept credit cards.
Museum fees, food and drinks, personal expenses, other transportation than the use of a car up to three passengers, or other services, when required, are not included. I can prepare an all-inclusive tourprice on request. Please tell me your preferences.
