This unique UNESCO's World Heritage Site, worldwide it is known as home of the original Olympic Games. However, the choice of Olympia as the superior religious, cultural & athletic center of the antiquity, hiding in her exceptional nature. I'll join you while you are discovering Olympia's unique landscape, slightly touched by the modern civilization. Fertile valleys, steep ravines, picturesque settlements and isolate bays haven't change a lot since the era of Gods and Heroes.
Exploring with your own pace, with minimal disturbance upon natural habitats or natives, you will receive best satisfaction and relaxing time, enjoying the unique combination of excellent weather, rich culture and culinary miracles that works as the perfect background for outdoors activities.
Even if I work and live in the area for years, it was not always so. I was born in Ontario, but soon after we moved to Greece for summer vacation and …never come back again. It was only after decades that I returned in North America for vacation first in Florida and later to work for several years in the Rockies and at Fort McMurray.
No matter if you are an easy pace traveller or a long distance trekker, I can find a tour suitable for you. All the activities vary from moderate to high, so keep in mind that required a minimum level of fitness and good health. However, I make my best to customize the itinerary of every tour on the specific travelers that I am working with, so been as much precise while you communicate with me during your booking (i. e. what's the most extreme activity that you made recently?) to get an idea about your desires.
On the other hand, if you have just few hours available, I am sure that I can find something to keep Olympia in your memory for long, taking you to places the average tourist does not see.
A Recent Review of this guide
Vassilios was a great guide. He met us at the train station and decided he would drive to our destination, because the train schedule would not give us enough time for our hike. He gave us several options and was always checking to make certain we were OK. He was knowledgeable about local history as well as local flora. He also told us to contact him if we were back in the area for suggestions about restaurants, hotels and things to do. Truly a wonderful experience. Thank you Vassilios!
