Old Quebec Walking Tour
The package includes a walking tour within the Old City's limits, including a stop at the Château Frontenac, Notre-Dame-de-Québec's basilica, Place Royale and Petit-Champlain.
The city was known as a fur trade department (1608-1759), followed by the ship building industry (1805-1850), and the coming of the current Canadian regime (since 1867) in which the town remained a governmental location. All those stages of the city's evolution are put into evidence within street names, building architecture, landscaping and statues commemorating important people.
Quebec City is no longer the metropolis of an empire. Nonetheless, this tour will help you to have an appreciation on the reason why the U. N. E. S. C. O. classified the Old Town as a World Heritage City in 1985 (the presence of a French civilization since 1608, and the preservation of the fortifications).
Indeed, you will an understanding on why the city was chosen as a military strategic site and port facility, and its attractiveness for tourists.
I suggest to meet at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
Then, we will make stops at:
-Terrasse Dufferin; Hydrography of the Saint. Lawrence river.
-We will then take the direction of Notre-Dame-de-Québec's Basilica for a short visit, with a description of the location.
-Our walk will resume on Sainte-Anne street with a description of the Holy Trinity Cathedral, City Hall, Price building and Morrin Centre.
-Following our walk on d'Auteuil street, we will take the direction of Place-d'Youville. Then, a stop is expected to take place at the Fountain of Tourny facing the National Assembly. We will take the direction of the Lower Town throughout St. Louis Street.
Then we will use the funicular to reach the Lower Town. Stop is expected to take place at Place Royale, (Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church and the Quebeckers' mural). I suggest the tour to be completed at the end of Le Petit-Champlain, beside the mural.

35 $ - The only suggested extras you might need to look for are items for personal consumption during the tour such as water, juice, umbrella or sun cream. You might plan to spend approximately $35 for those items.
I can create a customized tour if you wish to visit historical settlement located from the city. That package would include a rented mini-van Dodge Grand Caravan.
