Private tour to the old castle from 1554 - one of the wonders of Funen
We go by train through the beautiful island of Funen; known as the garden of Denmark. After a short busride we reah Egeskov Castle, which is built on solid oak pillars in the middle of the lake for defense purposes. Since 1784 the Bille family has owned the castle and the squire still lives there. Even so it is possible to vist quite a few rooms inside the castle. Here you also find the big doll house Titania's Palace and an exhibiton of paper cuttings from Hans Christian Andersen.
Outside we walk around admiring and walking the many different and beautiful gardens of the castle.
The old stables now holds exhibitions of various kinds (vintage cars, rescuing vehicles, MCs etc. ) and this is a place where one can spend many hours. If you want a longer tour than suggested, that is obviously also possible.
