Founded by the Spanish in 1524, Granada is considered one of the oldest colonial cities in the Western hemisphere.
During the tour you can enjoy a beautiful and panoramic view of the Mombacho Volcano, see the endemic flora and fauna of the visit zone, the Fortaleza de San Pablo; In the lake there are areas with good beaches suitable for tourists to take advantage of to bathe during the tour. This is one of the few freshwater lakes in the world where the bull shark lives. On this privately guided walking and carriage tour, you will explore the San Francisco Church and neighboring San Francisco Convent built in 1529. Now functioning as a museum, the Convent is home to an impressive collection of pre-Columbian art.
Continue on to the beautiful Merced Church where you will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the bell tower and take in a spectacular view of the city, Lake Nicaragua, and Mombacho volcano.
