Explore the stunning Tunnel Beach

Pick up at the wharf in Port Chalmers: We will make our way into the City of Dunedin stopping at the Iconic Railway Station. Next we will drive across the city to arrive at the spectacular Tunnel beach which has sea-carved sandstone cliffs, rock arch's and caves. The hidden beach descends from 490 ft above sea level so the popular walking track involves a bit of a climb, 1hour (return).

We will return to the Northern part of Dunedin passing the University to stop at the famous Baldwin Street (steepest street in the world).

Continue Northbound traveling along the hilltops to the coast, from the road there will be stunning views of the peninsula and city. Before arriving at the small coastal settlement of Long Beach, we will stop at the Orakonui Ecosanctuary for lunch. Next we can have a walk on the sandy beach that stretches 2. 4 km between coastal rock formations. Bird life in the beach and lagoon area includes Pukeko, herons and ducks, while seals are also common. After this we return to the wharf.
