come see West Village to the Meatpacking district and the High Line with private guide
We start in the heart of the Village, at Washington Square, walking west past many local landmarks that each hold a tale, including food and music locales that you may want to revisit. We work our way west and north through the winding streets to the Meatpacking District, which today is a trendy mix of the new housed in the old commercial district. That's also the southern entrance to the wonderful High Line, Manhattan's newest park which =was built on the old elevated freight train tracks of the far west side.
This is a walking tour conducted at a leisurely pace.

Last week we did the Tour of Greenwich/Meatpacking/Chelsea area with Robert. I highly recommend this tour. Robert had a wonderful knowledge of this area in New York and allowed us to learn so much of the history. He was also very informative about buildings, architecture, the people and New York in general. Such a great way to spend and afternoon. A highlight was ending up at the High line and Chelsea markets.
