walk through what was wicked New York
The East Village and Lower East Side were once collectively known as Wicked New York, an ominous reference to the murder, prostitution, grave-robbing, and other grisly crimes that plagued the area at the time. I don't want the lessons of the past to be forgotten. I will guide you through the streets where Jewish and Italian gangsters once lived, schemed, dined, drank, stole, and got whacked to impart a deeper understanding of the city and the criminal mind. This neighborhood will bring you back to the past and come alive with stories of the past.
We will visit Tompkins Square Park, which was the site of a tragic boat fire and the cannibal of the Park gave "soup" to the homeless. We stop at the cemetery where one of the most gruesome crimes was committed.
We will also have time to taste some original NYC foods.
We will visit crime scenes of the past as we walk down 2nd Ave. We end in Tompkins Square Park.
