I'll take Manhattan - Privately
As the song says "what street, compares with Mott Street, in July". Only Mott Street in May can compare. I love working with guests to our fair city on a tour of some of my favorite things about this town. Together we can personalize a tour of New York that covers what you want to see and do. Do you want to walk the Brooklyn Bridge? Do you want to find the best cheesecake in the world? Do you want to see Humphrey Bogart's childhood home? Do you want to see were John Lennon lived? Do you want to try one of the best restaurants in Chinatown? Do you want to shop? You tell me, we work it out together.
We will start at your hotel (or a mutually agreed upon location) and we will see Times Square (where I will explain why there is no square in Times Square), the theater district and Rockefeller Center. We will go up to Central Park, the most famous park in the world and explore that a bit. We will go to Lower Manhattan and see not only where this great city began but where this great Nation started. We will also see where a great many people lost a great deal of money over the decades - Wall Street. We will visit Battery Park (there are no batteries - believe me I looked) and we will visit the National 9/11 Memorial. We will also see Grand Central Terminal, this is a place I feel is a must as it has been restored, it is incredibly beautiful and has a great food court.
There is nothing written on stone, if I left something out that you want to see, let me know. Do you want to include a visit to Harlem? Lets go!
Meeting Point + Tour Duration
Meeting Point Options: Suggested by Guide: The tour can begin where you want it to. I can meet you at your hotel, for example. Let me know!
End Point Options: Rail or Bus Station, Cruise Ship Port, Airport, Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building
Duration: 5 hours
The tour length is based on you, what you want to see and when you want to go. In other words, the tour duration is approximate. I usually go over as I want to cover everything. The start time of the tour can be flexible.
In addition to walking, I always use the subway as it is the fastest and least expensive way to get around this town.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
50 U.S. Dollars - What is not included in the tour is the costs of entry fees or "suggested donations" to any museum or site, meals, snacks or souvenirs. Food prices can vary widely, depending on what you want.

Gary was a fantastic guide. He knows a lot of interesting things about the city. He was also very kind in trying to get my sulking teenager out of a funk!
