I'll take Manhattan - Privately
As the song says "what street, compares with Mott Street, in July". Only Mott Street in May can compare. I love working with guests to our fair city on a tour of some of my favorite things about this town. Together we can personalize a tour of New York that covers what you want to see and do. Do you want to walk the Brooklyn Bridge? Do you want to find the best cheesecake in the world? Do you want to see Humphrey Bogart's childhood home? Do you want to see were John Lennon lived? Do you want to try one of the best restaurants in Chinatown? Do you want to shop? You tell me, we work it out together.
We will start at your hotel (or a mutually agreed upon location) and we will see Times Square (where I will explain why there is no square in Times Square), the theater district and Rockefeller Center. We will go up to Central Park, the most famous park in the world and explore that a bit. We will go to Lower Manhattan and see not only where this great city began but where this great Nation started. We will also see where a great many people lost a great deal of money over the decades - Wall Street. We will visit Battery Park (there are no batteries - believe me I looked) and we will visit the National 9/11 Memorial. We will also see Grand Central Terminal, this is a place I feel is a must as it has been restored, it is incredibly beautiful and has a great food court.
There is nothing written on stone, if I left something out that you want to see, let me know. Do you want to include a visit to Harlem? Lets go!
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: We can always start at your Manhattan based hotel.
End location: It would depend on you, where you were after the tour for example. I can escort you back to your hotel if you wish.
Duration: 5 hours
The tour length is based on you, what you want to see and when you want to go. In other words, the tour duration is approximate. I usually go over as I want to cover everything. The start time of the tour can be flexible.
In addition to walking, I always use the subway as it is the fastest and least expensive way to get around this town.
What is included is a fantastic guide for 5 hours, taking you places the double decker buses do not (or cannot) go. I am with you all the way.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
50 U.S. Dollars - What is not included in the tour is the costs of entry fees or "suggested donations" to any museum or site, meals, snacks or souvenirs. Food prices can vary widely, depending on what you want.
Any admission ticket (if any) or "suggested donation" for admission to a site, are the responsibility of the client. In addition, if the guide is to accompany you into a site with an admission fee, that fee is the responsibility of the client as well. Any souvenirs, and any food or beverages you may wish to purchase are the clients responsibility as well. As we will use the New York City subway system, a Metro Card for the client's use only (the guide will have his own Metro Card) will have to be purchased.

GO WITH GARY! You will not regret your decision touring with Gary. We weren't just impressed with his vast amount of knowledge of New York, he went out of his way to individualize our family's interests. The best part of our tour was Gary's excitement and passion for sharing his city. Gary obviously loves what he does and we were fortunate to pick a guide who's all in. Thanks Gary, Your continuous research into everything "New York" is evident, even impressed a teenage, Hamilton expert. Well done.
