The Art Insiders Gallery Private Tour
Explore New York's most prestigious art galleries where the savviest and most respected collectors buy their art. Be stimulated by art that is cutting edge or relish art by the masters. It's all here in the art galleries of New York City, arguably the cultural capital of the world.
Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side has some of the most established galleries, while West Chelsea has some of the most spacious for often larger artworks. The Lower East Side has a variety of established and newer, small galleries. Fifty-seventh Street is still home to important galleries, while Brooklyn has also become an art destination.
I will plan an itinerary based on what shows are open on the date of your tour, as well as the art, artist or location that is of interest to you. By the way, as opposed to museums, it is generally free to view art in these galleries.
Usually the art galleries we visit are in some, but not all, of these areas, due to time (and energy) constraints:
Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side
Lower East Side
Brooklyn (Williamsburg, Bushwick)
We could break at a local cafe for a snack.

Art galleries are generally open five days per week, most often being Tuesdays through Saturdays; for the typical art gallery tour, it is unwise to book for Sunday or Monday.
