In addition to a master's degree in city planning, a career in lighting design and being an avid gardener, I am just proficient in the many key things that make NYC wonderful.
My tours, all personally assembled, explain what you are looking at and why it is a unique piece of this great city environment.
My work as a guide started with historical research and exploration. Finding a rich tapestry of interesting NYC features, I weaved them together into interesting and informational guided tours. I have a keen desire to show my knowledge and love of this city with you.
After years of taking friends to the Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden, I will share my insights of this miniaturized city with you during the winter and peruse the abundant flowers and trees in the spring. I am intimate with much of the 250 acre garden grounds.
A favorite seasonal and lighting tour is my walk through midtown during the holidays. No place in the world has more illumination then what we will walk by and my knowledge assures that you don't miss a thing. It's a seasonal treat for your eyes and spirit and I fully explain how it all works.
Walking in northern Manhattan, where the Battle of Fort Washington was fought, we also explore the role woman played in this battle and the total war. Talking about how husbands and wives fought together in our war for independence and who Margaret Corbin is an inspirational topic for me.
Join me for a special adventure in New York City by taking one of my tours.
