See Wildlife and the City in One Day!
This tour is designed for the visitor who wants to see a combination of nature and the city in one day.
The first segment of the tour takes you on a 50 mile tour throughout the city visiting historic neighborhoods and sites.
The second segment two offers an up-close view of a Louisiana swamp with alligators, turtles, swamp birds and other creatures. The boat's captain serves as your pilot and guide within the swamp, introducing you to the wildlife just 30 minutes from New Orleans.
Your group will join others on the boat unless you choose to reserve the entire capacity of the boat.
The boat has a roof to protect you from the sun and rain. It has side rails to protect you from wildlife and foliage.
The amount and variety of wildlife seen on your cruise depends on weather, time of year, water levels and other natural factors.
The boat captain has ultimate authority whether to sail or not, depending on weather and other safety factors.
The morning segment begins with a drive through the city visiting historic neighborhoods and sites such as the Garden District, the University Section, City Park, Lake Pontchartrain and the Central Business District. This segment starts at 9am and ends around 11am.
