Thanks for choosing New Orleans as your vacation destination!

As a native New Orleanian I take pleasure waking up each day knowing that people like you, from all over the world, have chosen my hometown to visit.

My educational, career and volunteer backgrounds have all been focused on the development, promotion and history of New Orleans. I have a Master's Degree in Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans and have worked as an Area Council Manager for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce, specializing in economic development. As a volunteer for the Council of International Visitors, I have served as a private tour guide for foreign dignitaries invited by the Department of State for more than 20 years.

I am a licensed tour guide for the City of New Orleans; fully insured and a member of the New Orleans Tour Guide Association. I offer a wide variety of standard tours in and around the City along with custom tours designed to meet your specific wants and needs.

My tours are fact-based, comprehensive and are designed to teach you about the people, culture and history of this unique City. My goal is to provide a fun-filled yet informative experience that helps you understand what makes New Orleans such a colorful place to live and visit.

You will notice that all of my tours are limited to either 4 or 8 guests. This limitation exists to ensure that each guest gets personal attention throughout the tour.

Finally, as a personal commitment to you, I offer what I call "Lagniappe Service". Lagniappe in New Orleans terms means something extra. This is a post-tour service. For three days after the tour I am available to provide suggestions, recommendations, opinions, research and general help. Having a native at your disposal can be helpful if you need a doctor, a restaurant recommendation or just help with directions.

Thank you for visiting our wonderfully unique city and I hope I can be part of your adventure.

A Recent Review of this guide

Dominick is a wonderful guide! We spent the morning learning about the history and architecture of the French Quarter, including our hotel, and the afternoon seeing the rest of the city and learning about the reality of Hurricane Katrina's effect on the city. Dominick is very knowledgeable about the city and kept it interesting and informative. I would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone visiting the city.
