Les Américains arrivent sur la scène!
From 1832 to 1900, this "bedroom community" for the municipality of Lafayette was built by the well-heeled, English-speaking transplants to the "Creole City", and grew into an enclave of wealthy, socially ambitious families who have have made an indelible mark on New Orleans for more than 150 years.
We begin at Lafayette Cemetery #1, one of New Orleans' seven municipal cemeteries, then follow the in the footsteps its famous (and infamous) "residents". This is the largest intact collection of intact 19th-century mansions in the United States, and is not to be missed!

Stephen was an amazing tour guide who had a plethora of interesting information on New Orleans. I highly recommend him. It was nice being able to do a custom tour with driving and walking to see a larger area of the city. Highly recommend!
