The "Axarquia of Malaga: East coast of Costa del Sol
Have you ever heard about the tallest stalagmate in the world? Well, they claim it's here, in the Caves of Nerja. . . The cave was discovered in 1959 by some kids and partly opened to the public in 1960, since then it is one of the main tourist attractions of Malaga province.
(If you are not interested in the cave, we can skip it and visit the Balcony of Europe in Nerja town instead. )
After the visit to the cave (in guided groups with audio guide system), we will continue to Frigiliana, one of the most beautiful white washed villages in Andalusia! After a stroll through the charming streets you may taste some olive oil and sweet wine of the region during your leisure time.
Return to your ship or accomodation. The schedule of this tour is estimated in 5 hours, but can be extended, please ask for a custom tour if you wish to stay for a typical Paella lunch on the beach.
From Malaga we'll take the motorway to the Cave of Nerja, located at Maro, for the visit to the Cave.
(In case that you don't wish to visit the cave, we will drive to Nerja town, in order to visit the Balcony of Europe instead. )
After the visit to the cave (or the balcony), we will continue by car to Frigiliana, and visit this beautiful village. After the visit, and a little time at leisure we will take the motorway back to Malaga.

Maike led us through a magnificent tour of both Nerja and Frigiliana with the six of us in tow. Though the walks and climbs through these glorious places were somewhat challenging she made it all possible by special paths and moderate pacing for us all to reach all the tops. And all the time she gave us the history and story of each lovely breathtaking site. What a wonderful and perfectly special outing for us all to experience in this lovely Andalucian region. Thanks again!!
