A walking tour discovering Naples
I will introduce you to the city, sharing information about its history and explaining why so much Baroque art and architecture was produced here.
Enjoy a slice of Neapolitan life through the ages as you explore. Make a stop to admire the unique spiky front of the Gesú Nuovo church, make your way into the historical centre of Naples, where I will point out some lesser-known treasures.
See numerous chapels and churches, which hold magnificent art inside their sacred walls. Look out for Cappella Sansevero, San Domenico Maggiore, the church of Santa Chiara, the Church of San Gregorio Armeno.
Pay a visit to the church of Pio Monte della Misericordia, which has several paintings, the most famous among them being Caravaggio's The Seven Works of Mercy.
Starting from the Historical centre of Naples, we will visit:
- Gesú Nuovo church
- Santa Chiara Majolica cloister
- Cappella Sansevero
- San Domenico Maggiore
- Church of San Gregorio Armeno
After lunch, we can visit the church of Pio Monte della Misericordia.
Then, we will take the metro (Art metro of Naples is considered the most beautiful in the world) to reach Piazza del Plebiscito square and visit the Royal Palace of Naples.
