Two different towns reflecting the variety and richness of this region: Campania.
Naples, Pompeii, Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Salerno, Capri: my passion for the wonderful art treasures and landscapes of my region inspired me to study hard to become a Tourist Guide! With a 14 year of experience as a professional tourist guide now, I still feel that this is a great job, and I do it day after day with the same enthusiasm!
I like calling myself a "gourmet", and in my tours I always try to combine art and culture with the local gastronomy - which is culture too, I think! You will often find in my tours wine and food tastings, or visits to farms and factories to see how the best food is made. I love discovering - and making other people discover - the best producers and talk to the people whose hands produce mozzarella, olive oil, pasta, tomatoes.
During and after University in Naples, I studied and lived in Belgium and in Germany. Since 2004 I got the official Tourist Guide License by Regione Campania. I wrote articles about gastronomy and nature for the magazine "Campania Felix". I also worked for the organization of different cultural institutions like film festivals and a dance festival, as well as an editor at publishers' in Naples.
Book a tour in or from Salerno with me, and you'll experience an unforgettable day in this wonderful country. Looking forward to meeting you in Salerno!
A Recent Review of this guide
Our Ferrante tour was excellent with fascinating visits to the Ferrante neighborhood and a special tour of the local library. We enjoyed getting away from the regular tourist scene and visiting parts of working class Naples. Simona was a wonderful guide—personable with an excellent knowledge of the Ferrante books. Gary H.
