Take a train from Rome on own and visit Pompeii and the Archeological Museum of Naples with Fabrizio by public transport
If you're in Rome and don't want to miss the visit to the ancient Pompeii, this tour is for you:
Board a Superfast "AV" train from Rome and you will be in Naples 1 hour and 10 minutes later!
This tour is for travellers who really love history. It allows to get a deeper knowledge of Pompeii, its burial and all the finds during the excavation.
You will walk in the ancient town to discover the life in the ancient times: its houses and daily life objects, which are shown at the Museum.
You will step in some pagan temples in Pompeii, and then see their statues. Let's see ancient restaurants and some real left over of food still intact.
All of this in one day from Rome. Be part of it!
Note: In this tour, travellers get the train from-to Rome by themselves. Meeting location with the guide and drop off is at the train station in Naples.
There is a great AV (high-speed) train service every hour from Rome to Naples. I will meet you in Naples Railways.
From the railway station in Naples there only is one stop by underground to the Museum. Here we will focus mainly on the collection from Pompeii and Hercolaneum: daily use objects, mosaics, frescoes, etc. If you like we may also see the Farnese collection featuring some of the best known statues from the antiquity. Our tour in the Museum should last approx 1 and half hour.
Back to the station same way we will board the Circumvesuviana that runs every 30 minutes and it takes 30 minutes to reach Pompeii excavations.
Anytime you like we can stop somewhere for a quick lunch or a pizza.
We will walk in Pompeii for about 3 hours. The walking tour will be tuned on your desire and phisical attitude. Same way back to catch the 5:50 pm AV train back to Naples

WOW! The best tour ever we spent the day touring Naples, the old town and then to Pompeii. Fabrizio is very personable and easy to listen to him. He took very good care of all details and met us at the Hotel, so easy for us to learn our way around the area. We really enjoyed the Naples fish market on Sunday morning. And Pompeii was really an amazing place. My daughter and I highly recommend Fabrizio and will use him again.
