On this tour you will explore the Hawkes Bay Region, with your own personal guide Maggie. Throughout the tour, Maggie will give you a running commentary as you travel through the region.
You will travel through the picturesque country side, to the highest lookout 'Te Mata Peak', through the village of Havelock North, the township of Hastings, return to Napier visit famous landmarks, the panoramic views over the city and beyond, before continuing into the city of Napier and learning the Art Deco architecture. Maggie will explain the history of the massive Napier earthquake of 1931, the re-birth of Napier in its Art Deco style and how the city has become the "The Art Deco Capital of the World".
We will stop for photo shots throughout the tour, so you return home with many happy memories of your visit to Napier. This really is a tour that you will remember for a long time.

If you are travelling by ship, you will be met on the day by Maggie H your driver/guide.
If you have chosen the Scenic tour of Napier and the Hawkes Bay region, you will see sheep, cattle, deer farming, horticulture and vineyards as we drive through the region.
We will head to the highest drivable lookout in the region Te Mata Peak where you will be given the opportunity to photograph the amazing panoramic views.
We will descend the 'mountain' and start to return to Napier City via Havelock North, Hastings City.
We will then head back to explore Napier City, where you learn the history of the 1931 earthquake and understand why Napier is considered the 'Art Deco Capital' of the World.
After exploring Napier and its beauty we will return back to the Napier I Site (Information Centre) where you will board the free shuttle bus back to the ship.
If you have chosen the Art Deco, Wine and Brewery Tour, this tour will vary from the above, but same pickup applies at a set location.

Cruise ships - returned to I Site (Napier Information Centre) where you will board the free shuttle bus back to the ship by the time provided.
