Kunsthistorisches Museum with private guide
The Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM) represents the former private painting collection of several Habsburg family members. It is one of the most outstanding painting galleries world-wide (Italian, Flemish, Dutch, Spanish and German paintings) a very interesting building set up during the late 19th century when the unique Ringroad was constructed.
Usually the tour will focus on a mixture between:
1) The architecture of the Museum of Fine Arts (one of the most precious Ringroad Palaces),
2) the section of Italian and Spanish old master painting (Titian, Bellini, Parmiganino, Raffael, Caravaggio, Veronese, Giordano, Canaletto, Murillo, Velazquez, etc. )
3) the section of Dutch, Flemish and German old master painting (Brueghel, Rubens, Van Dyck, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Holbein, Dürer, etc. )
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Meeting point should be at the Monument of Empress Maria Theresia right in the middle of the park between the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Nature's History.
End location: In the museum at the end of the tour
Duration: 2 hours
Walking tour within the museum. No transportation.
