Glass, laces, nature and mosaics
Venice is a City built on more than 120 islands, surrounded by 550 square Kilometres of water and more than 80 islands.
This tour will allow you to explore the Lagoon, visiting some of the most important "outer islands": Murano with its glass factories; Burano with its colourful little houses, the fishing boats, the laces, hand made by the women exactly how they did them Centuries ago; Torcello, a quiet and amazing place, where you will see some of the oldest churches of the lagoon, full of gilded mosaics and framed by nature, water, Peace.
It will be a good occasion to understand the history of Venice, its relations with the water, the delicate equilibrium which still allow us to preserve one of the most beautiful city in the world.
The tour can be completely customised: we can go to the islands using the public boat (slower, but less expensive), or the private taxi, in order to live a very exclusive experience.
After meeting in St Mark' s Square, we will go by public boat directly to Murano, where you will see some of the best glass masters of the island creating their masterpieces.
You will see how glasses and chandeliers, that made the fortune of the island in the past, are made, and you will learn a lot about glass production, colours, techniques.
After that, our boat will take us to Burano, one of the most colourful places in the world, where small colourful houses and fishing boats will bring you to a different time and place, where women do beautiful laces as they did Centuries ago.
After a fast lunch break (in a good restaurant or bar, as you prefer), Torcello will surprise you with its peace, its old churches, its nature.
At the end, your guide will take you back to St Mark's or Rialto, showing you the best way to go to your hotel, or wherever you prefer.

Nicoletta was amazing and we had an incredible visit to Murano, Burano and Torcello. The glass factory tour and show room in Murano was truly something to see. She knew where the great lace shops were on Burano and the bakery she took us to for a quick snack was wonderful. Nicoletta was very professional, kind, friendly and knowledgeable. She is an fantastic tour guide and we would strongly recommend her to anyone who is visiting Venice.
