Day Trips to the Colorful Christmas Markets in Bavaria and Alpine Regions with a private guide
I take you to visit some of the most famous Christmas markets in the world.
The Nuremburg market dates back to the early 1600s and is famous for its special gingerbread known as "Lebkuchen".
Rothenburg is the unofficial home of Christmas, with a wonderful market.
Both Berchtesgaden and the Fraueninsel on Lake Chiemsee have fantastic traditional markets and can be combined. (Chiemsee only on 1st two advent weekends. )
In Austria, both Salzburg and Innsbruck have absolutely fantastic markets: in Salzburg the market stretches out underneath the impressive fortress, and fairy tale characters hang from the sides of buildings above the market in Innsbruck.
A great way to shop for gifts for everyone back home.
In each destination we will also visit the important historical sights, so you will get a well rounded day of European culture and Christmas fun.
OTHER DESTINATIONS: Neuschwanstein + Füssen; Augsburg + Ulm, etc.
Base price may be more for larger groups (larger vehicle).
I will pick you up at your hotel at 08:30.
We then head to our destination. The cultural and historical tour will come first, followed by visits to the Christmas markets in the afternoon. You will have plenty of time to shop and free time to explore the markets at your own pace.
Back at your hotel at around 18:30.
Each tour will be a personalized offer. Please contact me and let me know which tour you are interested in.

What an amazing day! Kevin was wonderful - the four of us were super comfortable in his Mercedes van. We started out just doing Christmas markets, then my daughter wanted to do the Sound of Music highlights in Salzburg at the last minute. Kevin immediately adapted & knew exactly what to do. I'd actually been on another Sound of Music tour years ago and Kevin far exceeded all expectations, ending us with a beautiful Christmas Market in Mondsee, where the wedding scene was filmed. He was truly great!
